Lancaster ROF is a wonderfully well bred and talented Main Book Friesian Sporthorse colt. His sire is the black 16 hand Elite Book Friesian Sporthorse stallion Lexington, who is one of the most successful and best known Friesian Sporthorse stallions in the US, and one of the only Friesian Sporthorse stallions to be fully Approved for Breeding. He has proven himself very successful at dressage, with an impressive list of National Year-End Awards, and currently competing at Third Level as a 6YO. Lexington also scored a rare and impressive '10' for Sporthorse Potential at his stallion inspection. Please visit the link below to learn more about this impressive stallion.
Lancaster's dam is our 16.3 hand Dutch Warmblood mare Natasha. Natasha is a lovely Dutch mare -- the treasured "old style" Warmblood, with great bone and powerful gaits. She has a star-studded, proven sport pedigree. Natasha's sire was Jacobean, who was by the famous Dutch Preferent stallion Roemer. Roemer was a Grand Prix dressage horse and Grand Prix jumper, and stood at Iron Spring Farm until his death in 1996. Jacobean's dam was a Ster mare by Saluut, sire of famous jumpers including Saluut II. Natasha's dam Jazzmine was a Ster mare by Consul, another of the illustrious stallions of Iron Spring Farm. Consul competed thru Fourth Level dressage, as well as show jumping in the Netherlands. He was retired due to injury, but went on to more than prove himself as a sire. Natasha was purchased to be a broodmare, and was never started under saddle. She had one full sibling, a 17.3 hand gelding named One Hundred Proof (Jacobean x Jazzmine.) As a 3-year-old, One Hundred Proof finished 7th out of 28 horses at Devon in the Suitable to be a Dressage Horse class for 3 and 4 year olds, and went on to win or place in every class he was in thru Third Level,
including qualifying for ABIG's and BLM's at Training, First, and Second Level. He was schooling
FEI Prix St Georges when he sadly died at age 10 of colic. Natasha is a very nice mare as well,
and surely would have had a successful show career of her own if her previous owner
had been interested in pursuing that path.
Lancaster ROF was selectively bred for talent, temperament, and sport potential. Friesian Sporthorses of this quality and pedigree are still rare in the US. Lancaster should be a wonderful prospect for dressage or driving.
