Huge success at the recent USDF
DSHB Breed Show!

Three Lexington foals competed in the
recent Surf's Up Cup USDF DSHB Breed
Show -- Lisbon ROF (owned by Vicki Miller & Carrie Simmons, bred by River Oaks Farm), Learjet (owned by Carrie Simmons / Cornerstone Sporthorses, bred by Camelot Warmbloods), and Luminary RBF (owned and bred by Laura McCormick / Rose Blossom
It was great to see three Lexington foals at the same show, along with their great owners. All three foals did super, and all three foals earned their scores to be upgraded to Bronze Elite status with the Friesian Sporthorse Association.
Lisbon ROF (Lexington x Natasha) won the "Fillies of 2013" class and was the Champion of the "Foals of 2013" and qualified for Regional Championships. Lisbon ROF is a Main Book Friesian Sporthorse filly by Lexington (FSA) and out of Natasha (KWPN).
Learjet (Lexington x Katrichta) won the "Colts/Geldings of 2013" class and was the Reserve Champion "Foals of 2013" and qualified for Regional Championships. Learjet is a Main Book Friesian Sporthorse colt by Lexington (FSA) and out of Katrichta (KWPN.)

Lexington and his son Lennox ROF had a great show at White Fences...
Lexington and his son Lennox ROF both competed at the White Fences Dressage Show this month. We had a great time
and White Fences was beautiful, as always. Although it was August in Florida and it was hot, the weather really wasn't
too bad -- no rain, and a nice mix of clouds and breeze.
Lennox ROF has been 'on fire' since making his dressage show
debut earlier this year. He won three Training Level classes at
White Fences with scores of 71%, 73%, and 76%. His USDF median
score for 2013 is a 73.5% making him a serious contender for a
USDF Horse of the Year award (USDF's most prestigious award)
as well as a USDF All-Breeds national year-end award. Lennox
seems to be following in Lexington's hoofprints! Lennox has
also been listed on our Horses for Sale page, so if you're looking
for your next dressage partner, be sure to check him out...
A million thanks to Carrie Simmons (Cornerstone Sporthorses)
for these lovely photographs!
Lexington competed in the Grand Prix again, earning another
60+% score. Even in just the three short weeks since his Grand
Prix debut the test is already getting more confirmed. We couldn't
be happier, and the fact that he's only 10 years old is the icing on
the cake. We'll give Lexington a break from the show ring for the
remainder of the year and focus on polishing the Grand Prix.
Not to worry, Lexington will be back showing in 2014!
Great weekend for Lexington foals and Friesian
Sporthorses at the 2013 Region III USDF Breeder's
Four Lexington foals have been competing in USDF DSHB Breed
Shows this year with fantastic results, and all four qualified and
attended the Region III Breeder's Championships this month. We
couldn't be more proud! All four are also FSA registered Friesian
Sporthorses, so this was a great showing for Friesian
Sporthorses as well.
The four foals -- Lisbon ROF, Learjet, Land Rover CS, and
Luminary RBF -- racked up ribbons in the morning's
non-Championships classes: Lisbon ROF was 2nd in the 2013
Fillies class, Land Rover CS was 2nd in the 2013 Colts/Geldings
class, Learjet won the 2013 Colts/Geldings class and was Reserve
Champion "Foals of 2013", and Luminary RBF won his Friesian
Sporthorse IBC class.
The winning continued in the Championships -- Lisbon ROF was
the Reserve Champion "Foals of 2013" for Region III, Land Rover CS
was 3rd, Learjet was 4th, and Luminary RBF was 6th. Talk about
a class dominated by Friesian Sporthorse "Lex babies"!
The owners and breeders of these great foals all deserve a
huge congratulations -- and a huge thank you for believing in
Lexington and breeding to him: Carrie Simmons (Cornerstone
Sporthorses), Vicki Miller, Laura McCormick (Rose Blossom Farm),
and Daniela Hofacker (Camelot Warmbloods). Special thanks
also to handler Dean Graham, who handled all of these foals
to their victories.

Lexington -- victorious in his Grand
Lexington made his Grand Prix dressage
debut at the Canterbury Sizzler II (Florida),
winning one of his Grand Prix classes and
finishing 2nd in the other, and scoring above
60%. Lexington just turned 10 last month and
we hadn't originally even been planning to
debut him at Grand Prix until 2014, so we are
thrilled with these results. This makes Lexington
the only FriesianSporthorse stallion in the US
to becompeting at Grand Prix dressage. Best of
all, this talented stallion still has so much more
potential, we can't wait to see his scores climb
as he strengthens and solidifies the Grand Prix.
Lexington offspring continue to dominate USDF DSHB shows!
Four Lexington offspring have been competing in USDF DSHB Breed Shows
shows this summer, consistently bringing home the Champion and Reserve
Champion honors and qualifying for the Regional Finals. This month's
Canterbury DSHB show was no different! Learjet (Lexington x Katrichta) was
the Champion "Foals of 2013" and Luminary RBF (Lexington x RBF Citrianna)
was the Reserve Champion. Learjet was also named the Champion Friesian
Sporthorse and was awarded a lovely necksash sponsored by the FSA.
Learjet is owned by Carrie Simmons / Cornerstone Sporthorses, and Luminary
RBF is owned by Laura McCormick / Rose Blossom Farm. Learjet is offered for
sale (www.CornerstoneSporthorse.com) and Luminary RBF will be offered for
sale after the Regional Finals. Two other Lexington offspring will also be
competing at the Regional Finals next month: Lisbon ROF (Lexington x Natasha)
and Land Rover CS (Lexington x Blue Eyed Mist.) We couldn't be more proud of
these fantastic youngsters and we wish everyone the best of luck at Regional Finals!
Sad news for 2013....
May 30, 2013
On May 29th Destiny SCS foaled an adorable sweet black filly by the Grand Prix Friesian stallion Eeltsje F. Sadly this little filly suffered many complications and only lived about 14 hours in spite of extensive efforts to save her. This was the first foal we've ever lost, and hopefully the last. Rest in Peace, little filly....
Summer Sizzler I -- two Grand Prix
wins for Lexington, and a great
show for Lancaster ROF too!
June 28 & 29, 2014
This Summer Sizzler lived up to its name
-- it was hot. HOT! Mid-upper 90's and not
a drop of rain. It was well worth enduring
the heat though, since both stallions had
Lexington won the Grand Prix on Saturday
and Sunday, with scores solidly in the
60's, including a 63.5% on Sunday. He and
Gigha also won a special prize for "best
dressed", which was fun. (Jackets were
waived because of the heat, hence the vest.)
Lancaster ROF finished 3rd in Training
Level Test 2 with a 66% and got a 77% in
the 4YO YH test. Congratulations to
Casey's owner Vicki!

Lexington makes his Intermediare II debut!
May 4 & 5, 2013
Lexington competed in his first FEI Intermediare-II at the Rocking Horse Spring Dressage Show, finishing 2nd and 3rd. Congratulations Lexington!
Gigha Awarded a Breeder's Grant from the Dressage Foundation and the Elysium Farm Fund for Breeder Excellence
Gigha has been chosen as one of three recipients of a breeder's grant thru the Dressage Foundation and the Elysium Farm Fund
for US Breeder Excellence. She'll be using the funding to attent the 2014 USDF Sport Horse Seminar being held at Iron Spring
Farm in PA, July 26th - 27th. Click on the link to read the complete story and to learn more about the Dressage Foundation and

Summer Sizzler II -- rough start to the weekend, but
Lexington's highest Grand Prix score to date!
The trip to the Summer Sizzler II had a rough start, with a tire blowout
on the Interstate which also ripped off one of the dropdown windows
on the horse trailer. Thanks to a good samaritan and a friendly mechanic,
we were back on the road -- with a few hundred dollars less, a little bit
hotter, and running more than an hour late, but we were back on the
road with two brand new tires. The rough start was worth it though,
Lexington earned his highest Grand Prix score to date -- a 64%! We
couldn't be happier! Gigha and Lexington also won the "best dressed"
award again -- hey, it doesn't hurt to look neat, right?
A new mare announcement, and
a pregnancy confirmation!
We're excited to have a new addition to our
broodmare group -- the imported Ster KWPN
Dutch Warmblood mare "Pandora-Tettie".
Her breeding is Inspekteur / Meridiaan / Darwin,
and she's a Roemer great-granddaugher as
well. She's been confirmed in foal to
Lexington, and is due mid-July 2015. We can't
wait! A million thanks to the great people --
old friends and new -- who made this possible....
(*Pandora was featured in a Dressage Today magazine s
eries on long-lining. This lovely SusanJStickle.com

Our last show of the USDF 2014
competition year, and Lexington &
Lancaster ROF both finished the
year as stars!
August 30 & 31, 2014
Canterbury's "Fall Dressage" show was the
last show of the 2014 USDF competition
year for Lexington and Lancaster ROF, and
they both wrapped up the show-year on
a good note.
Lexington and Gigha earned two more
good Grand Prix scores -- 64.4% and 62.1%,
and brought home two 2nd place ribbons.
Lancaster ROF (owned by Vicki M) and
Gigha competed in their final 4YO YH classes,
scoring 69.6 and 68.0, and bringing home
two 1st place ribbons. We're very proud of
both stallions and we look forward to more
successes from both of these stallions in the
2015 "show year"!

Offspring & Friesian Sporthorses!

Lexington continues his great year!
October 25 & 26, 2014

Friesian Sporthorse foals anticipated for 2015...
We have three mares confirmed in foal and due in 2015, and we're also in a partnership for a fourth foal. Three of the anticipated foals are by our Elite Grand Prix FSA stallion Lexington and out of quality Warmblood mares, and the other anticipated foal will be the first out of our Lexington daughter 'Lexa ROF' who has been bred to the Hanoverian stallion 'Wild Dance'. All should be top quality Friesian Sporthorse foals and will be eligible for FSA registration. To learn more click on any of the photos, and stay tuned for foaling announcements in 2015!
The 2014 USDF national year-end award winners have been announced - congratulations
Lexington and Lancaster ROF!

Lancaster ROF (Lexington x Natasha (Jacobean)) is the USDF National All-Breeds Friesian Sporthorse Champion for
FEI 4-Year-Olds. We couldn't be more proud of these two stallions!
Lexington is a Main Book / Gold Elite / Approved Friesian Sporthorse stallion by Baron von Kolderveen (Friesian) and out
of Denver Miss (TB.) Owned and ridden by River Oaks Farm / Gigha Steinman. Lancaster ROF is a Main Book / Bronze Elite

Lexington wraps up 2014 with another great show
Lexington and Gigha have wrapped up the 2014 show season
with two more good Grand Prix outings, finishing 2nd both
times with close margins and with scores of 65.1 and 63.2%.
We're already looking forward to 2015!
Cinco de Mayo Dressage -- a success!
May 2 & 3, 2015
Lexington put in another solid Grand Prix to finish 3rd with a 64.5%,
and is so talented he's still got room for incredible improvement as
he continues to get mileage at this level. Lexington's son Lennox ROF
also had a great weekend, making his First Level debut and winning
the High Score Champion Friesian Sporthorse award with a 67.81% at
First Level Test 2. We're very proud of both boys!

The first ROF foal of 2015 has arrived
Welcome to the world Williamsburg ROF! "William" was born
April 29th and is the first foal for Lexa ROF, our second generation
Friesian Sporthorse mare by our Elite Grand Prix FSA stallion
Lexington. William's sire is the stunning FEI Hanoverian stallion
"Wild Dance" who stands at Rainbow Equus Meadows. This colt
should have a bright dressage future!

The first BUCKSKIN Main Book Friesian Sporthorse
in the US has been born at River Oaks Farm
Laiken ROF was born May 27th. Her sire is our wonderful Lexington
and her dam is the cremello German Warmblood mare "Blue Eyed Mist"
by the GOV approved cremello German Warmblood FEI dressage
stallion "Blue Eyed Dream".
It's official -- she's buckskin!
Laiken ROF has been DNA color tested and is a buckskin, which makes
her the first fully papered Main Book registered buckskin Friesian
Sporthorse in the world. This beautiful filly has proven sport performance
on both sides of her pedigree, and her unique color is an added bonus.
He's here, and born on the Fourth of July!
Pandora decided to have her foal on the Fourth of July -- a beautiful black
colt we've named Liberty ROF. Liberty's sire is our wonderful Lexington,
and his dam Pandora is an imported Ster Dutch Warmblood mare.
Obviously I love Lexington, and I have a special bond with Pandora too,
so I've been holding my breath for a year hoping for a colt from this breeding,
and this little guy is more than I could have hoped for. He's going to have
some big shoes to fill, but with a little luck he may be my next Grand Prix
horse in ten years or so....

Huge Congratulations to Lennox ROF by Lexington -- Bronze Elite and Reserve Champion at his first dressage show!
May 4 & 5, 2013
We are so proud of Lennox ROF, a black Friesian Sporthorse gelding by Lexington and out of our Friesian Sporthorse mare Koloa, and the first Friesian Sporthorse foal we bred at River Oaks Farm. Lennox ROF competed in his first dressage competition May 4th & 5th in Florida and was the Reserve Champion High Score winner with a 71.9% at Training Level Test 2. This fantastic score also earned his Bronze Elite Book status with the FSA. We couldn't be happier. Lennox ROF is owned by Beth in MN, congratulations!

Boca ROF foaled a wonderful black filly "Layla" on April 29th, congratulations Ann in Texas! Boca is an Elite Book Friesian Sporthorse mare by the imported German Warmblood FEI dressage stallion Blue Eyed Dream. She was bred by us and sold as a youngster. This is her second foal by Lexington, her first foal Lockheed CS finished in the Top 6 for the FSA Inspection & In-hand National Awards for 2012. Congratulations Ann on your lovely filly!
And.... another Lexington foal!
Congratulations Laura of Rose Blossom Farm! Her Selle Francais / Thoroughbred mare Citrianna RBF foaled a super black Friesian Sporthorse colt early Saturday morning April 4th. This youngster doesn't have a name yet, and we don't have photos yet, but check back!
Here are some current photographs of Lancaster ROF, a three-year-old Friesian Sporthorse stallion prospect by the Elite Book Friesian Sporthorse FEI dressage stallion Lexington and out of the Dutch Warmblood mare Natasha (a granddaughter of the famous Roemer.) Lancaster ROF belongs to Sabina of California. He is being started under saddle this Spring (and is already demostrating fantastic talent and temperament) and will likely be presented for Provisional Breeding Approval later this year.

Lexington named 2012 FSA High Performance National Champion!
Lexington was recently awarded one of the Friesian Sporthorse Association's most coveted awards -- the national High Performance award. This award is awarded to the Friesian Sporthorse with the highest year-end average at FEI level dressage. This is Lexington's second year winning this honor! Lexington and Gigha had a year-end average of 69.747% for FEI Prix St Georges for 2012.
Lauderdale ROF by Lexington recently awarded 2012 FSA Inspection & In-hand National Champion
(Two Lexington offspring in the Top 6!)
Lauderdale ROF's inspection score of 89.187 is the highest score awarded to a Friesian Sporthorse at inspection, to date. This awesome score earned Lauderdale ROF the title of 2012 FSA Inspection & In-hand National Champion. Lauderdale is by our Elite Book stallion Lexington, and out of the Friesian Sporthorse mare Koloa.
Another Lexington offspring, Lockheed CS, also finished the year ranked in the Top 6 with a 5th place finish. Lockheed CS was bred by Cornerstone Sporthorses -- congratulations!
Saluting a great mare -- Koloa has two offspring ranked in the Top 6 for the 2012 FSA Inspection & In-hand national year-end award.
The stallions tend to get all of the glory, but the mare is half of the equation too! We're very proud of Koloa who had two offspring ranked in the Top 6 for the 2012 FSA Inspection & In-hand national year-end award. Lauderdale ROF was the National Champion with an 89.187 (the highest score ever awarded to a Friesian Sporthorse at inspection), and Sebastian ROF finished in 4th place for the year.
Lauderdale ROF is a 2009 gelding by our Elite Book FSA stallion Lexington. Sebastian ROF is a 2010 gelding by the German Warmblood stallion Sempatico. Lauderdale ROF belongs
to Gigha, and Sebastian ROF is owned by Kimberly
Koloa had a total of five foals before being sold in 2012. We have retained her 2011 filly Lexa ROF as a replacement / future broodmare.

The first Lexington foal of 2013 has arrived!
'Learjet' was born Wednesday, February 20th, and is pictured here at 3 days old. He is by Lexington and out of a Dutch Warmblood mare named 'Katrichta' (Bolivar/Eros). Bred by Daniela Hofacker / Camelot Warmbloods, and owned by Carrie Simmons / Cornerstone Sporthorses. Isn't this a beautiful black colt!
Learjet -- 3 days old
Waiting... and waiting...
We're anxiously awaiting the arrival of Blue Eyed Mist's foal by Lexington, due March 12, 2013. Misty is a cremello German Warmblood, and has a 50/50 chance of having a buckskin foal, which we believe would be the first buckskin Main Book Friesian Sporthorse foal registered in the world. And since Misty's sire has been competing successfully at FEI Prix St Georges, and Lexington has a fantastic FEI dressage record of his own, this foal should have dressage written all over it, no matter what color!
Six Great Years and Counting...!
The first Friesian Sporthorse foal at River Oaks Farm was born six years ago this month.... (Lennox ROF, by Lexington.) Twelve more foals have followed -- including 3 National Champions(2010, 2011, 2012), 1 USDF/DSHB Regional Champion, 7 which have earned Elite Book status, 1 which holds the record for the highest score ever awarded to a Friesian Sporthorse via inspection (89.1%), 7 which have earned FSA Inspection & In-hand National Year-End awards, and 3 which have been featured in magazine articles. And we've made some great friends and sold our horses to some fantastic people along the way! We're expecting 2 foals for 2013, and we look forward to many, many more great years, and watching Friesian Sporthorses continue to grow in popularity. Thank you to our many friends and clients who've believed in our program along the way!
Blue Eyed Mist's foal has arrived!
March 20, 2013
Blue Eyed Mist's foal arrived late last night -- a beautiful, healthy Friesian Sporthorse colt, who appears to be smoky black. By the Elite Book Friesian Sporthorse FEI dressage stallion 'Lexington'. Mare and foal are doing great! Congratulations to owner/breeder Cornerstone Sporthorses!

Some more photos of the 1st two Lexington foals of 2013!
March 23, 2013
These two wonderful foals are both owned by Cornerstone Sporthorses (FL). The first colt, Learjet, was foaled February 20th. Learjet is out of the Dutch Warmblood mare Katrichta (Bolivar/Eros/Selim), and bred by Camelot Warmbloods (FL). The second colt, Land Rover CS, was foaled March 19th and is 4 days old in these photos. Another Lexington foal has arrived!
Beautiful 'Lisbon ROF' was foaled Sunday evening April 21st. This is one of the prettiest foals we've seen, and she's also incredibly sweet. Her sire is the Elite Book Friesian Sporthorse FEI dressage stallion Lexington, and her dam is our Dutch Warmblood mare Natasha, who is a granddaughter of the famous Roemer. This pairing has produced two National Champion Friesian Sporthorses so far (Lancaster ROF and Lily ROF), and Laurel ROF seems equally nice! (pictured at right)
More Great Inspection Results, and Lauderdale ROF Scores a Awesome 89.187!

It's official....we've moved!
We've sold the farm in Newberry, and relocated to 10 beautiful acres in Seville, Florida. The new property is lovely and quiet, and features individual paddocks, all seperated by ample breezeways, where horses can be turned out safely behind stallion-height 4-board fencing, and where they can enjoy the shade and serenity of the park-like setting with dozens of oak trees. This will be a wonderful setting for training, and for breeding and raising our special Friesian Sporthorse mares and foals.

This special issue includes a great feature on Friesian Sporthorses. We highly recommend this issue -- it is the best feature we've ever seen on the breed -- full of factual information and tons of photographs.
If you've ever been curious about Friesian Sporthorses, have considered buying or breeding one, or even if you already own one, you'll really enjoy this issue and these articles. And we couldn't be more proud that Lexington was chosen as the cover

Our 2012 foal has arrived ~ London ROF ("Arthur")
We were only expecting one foal at River Oaks Farm for 2012, and he arrived April 9th. He is by Lexington, and out of Natasha, and is a full sibling to 2010 FSA Inspection & In-hand National Champion 'Lancaster ROF' and 2011 FSA Inspection & In-hand National Champion 'Lily ROF'. (Scroll down to the next update to see a current photo of Lancaster ROF.) We expect big things from this colt!
As some of you know, my wonderful father passed away the same day this foal was born. (Hence the nickname "Arthur", my Dad's name was Arthur (Art.)) My Dad was a super person, I wouldn't be where I am today without him. I miss you Dad.... Love, Gigha
Lexington makes his FEI Intermediare debut!

He competed at the same level/test again the following weekend at the May Days Qualifier, scoring a 63.4% and again finishing 2nd. We couldn't be more proud of this fantastic young stallion!

We're very proud of all of Lexington's offspring. Here are some updates: Lauderdale ROF pictured as a rising 3YO, and some video footage of Lexa ROF as a yearling. Lauderdale ROF and Lexa ROF are full siblings -- both are by Lexington, and out of the Friesian Sporthorse mare Koloa.
Lexington debuts at FEI Prix St Georges ~ already winning!
Lexington made his FEI PSG debut in May, and did very well, and his results are even more impressive when you consider Lexington won't even be 8 years old until July! He's already scoring in the 60's, and won his PSG class in only his second time competing at this level. Lexington was also in the running for the FEI High Score Champion, but we left the show early and don't know the final results yet, but we'll update....!

Lexington ~ more show results!
Lexington and Gigha had another good show this past weekend at Canterbury. This was probably Lexington's
last show of the 2010 show year -- but he'll be back in 2011, most likely making his FEI PSG debut! Lexington
wrapped up the show (and the show year) with a 68% and a 69% at Third Level. He was also the Third Level prize
money winner for this show circuit, which was exciting! This show had some torrential rain on Friday, which left
one of the outdoor competition rings pretty soggy, but Lexington wasn't even phased.
