2009 USDF National Year-End Results are Final!
The results are final for the USDF 2009 National Year-End awards.  Lexington is the All-Breeds Champion for First Level for the Friesian Sporthorse Association with an impressive year-end median score of 70.526%, which also ranked him 35th for Horse of the Year.  G Walkabout finished 3rd for All-Breeds for First Level for RPSI with a year-end median score of 67.861%, which was high enough to rank him in the top 100 First Level horses for 2009.  These are great scores, and we're very proud of both stallions.  Check back for updates - Lexington may appear in the special issue of the USDF Awards Year-Book again this year.

Gigha Named AWS Director of the Year!
It's just been announced that Gigha has been named as the AWS Director of the Year for 2009.  Gigha has been involved with the AWS for more than a decade as their Florida Dressage Representative.  One of her special projects in 2008/2009 was to help coordinate between the AWS and FSA, so that FSA Friesian Sporthorses could participate in AWS inspections, feeling that it was past time for Friesian Sporthorses to have a legitimate, reputable inspection option.  She also used her own stallion Lexington as one of the "guinea pigs" of the project, taking him to an AWS inspection in 2008, where his impressive score earned him Breeding Approval with both the AWS and the FSA.
Gigha Featured on the Front Page of the Warmblood Whisper
Gigha is featured on the front page of the Winter 2009-2010 issue of the Warmblood Whisper, for being named the 2009 Director of the Year.  Excerpted from the article:
Gigha has been quietly representing the AWS since May 1996 when she first became a member and in July 1996 when she volunteered her time to become a representative.  In the early years she presented AWS awards medals at the Florida Dressage competitions, never taking any awards she and her horses had earned.

Pictured above is Gigha on her Approved for Breeding Stallion Lexington /*/ / / / .  He is one of many horses that Gigha has bred, trained, and represents.

Gigha has become a breeder of quality sport horses that are part Friesian, and is president of the Friesian Sporthorse Association.  This registry is working cooperatively with the AWS, both organizations sharing information.  The Friesian Sporthorse registered horses [may] satisfy [some] of their performance requirements through the AWS inspections.  It is a win-win for all concerned.
Check out Gigha's latest article...
Gigha's latest article is in the March/April 2010 issue of Warmbloods Today magazine.  The article '70 Days in Oklahama' is about the recent 70-Day Stallion Test (and the first 70-Day Stallion Test held in North America) and follows two stallions (Baron Van Gogh and Shakespeare RSF) thru the process.  (Learn more about Warmbloods Today magazine at www.WarmbloodsToday.com.)

Lexington ~ more show results!
August 2010
Lexington and Gigha had another good show this past weekend at Canterbury.  This was probably Lexington's last show of the 2010 show year --
but he'll be back in 2011, most likely making his
FEI PSG debut!

Lexington wrapped up the show (and the show year) with a 68% and a 69% at Third Level.  He was also in the lead for the Third Level prize money -- the final results should be tabulated this week....

This show had some torrential rain on Friday, which left one of the outdoor competition rings pretty soggy, but Lexington wasn't even phased.
